KUALA LUMPUR July 3rd: Equities trading on Bursa Malaysia Securities did not resume trading at 2.30pm as notified earlier by the stock exchange.
Bursa Securities said Thursday the stock exchange would continue with the notifications to the market as soon as it has any updates.
In a statement earlier Thursday, Bursa said, “Bursa Malaysia is investigating the problem that caused the trading system failure this morning at its primary site and is working towards resuming trading from the primary site as soon as possible”.
In a separate statement, the Securities Commission (SC) said it had been in close communication with Bursa Malaysia following the technical failure in the trading system that led to the closure of the stockmarket from 9am to 12.30pm.
